Linda of the day #2

Day two of my series on the photography of Linda McCartney, and today I have decided to focus on her street photography. Linda spent a lot of her time travelling, and liked taking photos in all situations, often “shooting from the hip”  or, as in the following shots, photographing people in the street from her viewpoint in the car.

I have chosen three photos today, all framed by the car window.

Punter. London, 1979

Break. New York, 1968

Partial eclipse. London, 1984

I can recommend Linda’s book Roadworks (Bullfinch 1996) for more in a similar style.

  1. It is so cool that you are doing this series — can’t wait to see more of her work. I didn’t even know she was into photography !

  2. Amazing cool perspective. Like it in many ways!!

  3. Yeah especially the ones looking straight into the camera. Epic.
