Tricia Porter: Liverpool Photographs 1972-74

Tricia Porter’s photographs of Toxteth/Liverpool 8 are now on show at The Bluecoat, Liverpool. Portraits of everyday inhabitants of the area are seen at this time of tremendous social change. It was, says the photographer, “an attempt to make a photo documentary which would be a positive and meaningful statement about my neighbours who had all too often been treated as statistical fodder and sociological phenomena.”
