1 June 1967

What happened today in Beatleworld? Well, it was of course the day Pepper came out – the event Kenneth Tynan described in The Times as a “decisive moment in the history of Western civilisation.”

On the day itself however, the Fabs were back in the studio, more specifically De Lane Lea Studios, where they recorded a number of instrumental jams between 10.30 PM and 3.30 AM. Maybe they had been celebrating their success too heavily that day and hence the resulting takes were unused and presumably unusable.
